Happy Memorial Day!

We had big plans for this weekend... and unfortunately the weather absolutely did not cooperate. So, we stuck around the house and got some stuff done here. We also went over and spent a little time helping Perry and Mom with their fence. It is sure coming together nice!
I think Dane was the biggest helper of all! Here are some pictures of him helping carry boards and when he wasn't slaving away at that... he was digging for worms and putting them in his bucket!
We hope everyone had a great weekend and although we didn't go anywhere we did have a nice time and got a lot done around here!!!

Dane entertaining us!

As parents sometimes we do things that are funny to us... Kind of like when my Dad would put a little honey on my fingers and then give me a feather... or when people give their children a little lemon or lime juice and watch their faces! We hesitated to post this cause we don't want people thinking that we are mean parents, but it was so darn cute and funny that I had to share!
So, Dane saw the dog chasing the reflection from Clint's watch one day and joined in on the fun. The other night we were playing and he started trying to "get the reflection"... so I had to video it.
Enjoy... Hopefully it makes you smile! :)

This weekend we hung out around home and got some projects done.  On Saturday, Clint helped Perry with their fence.  Although it was rainy and kind of a cold day, they were troopers and got a bunch done.  Here they are working hard!

Dane is such a little helper...  Here he is with Clint and Perry, and then today he went outside with Clint and helped out in the yard.

Dane was having a really good time and didn't want to look away from his tools for even a moment!

Besides that, everything was pretty low key...  Just cleaning around the house and getting stuff done.  Now, the week is upon us and hopefully this one will go just as quickly!

Overnight trip to Holter

Clint and I lucked out and each got an extra day off this weekend.  I took Friday off, and Clint took Saturday off so that we could go on a camping trip and spend a couple nights.  We headed out to Holter Friday morning after Chris (Courtney's husband) stopped by for breakfast.   By the way Chris, thanks for the delicious apple fritter!!  :)

The weather was phenomenal,  and although it was a little cloudy yesterday afternoon and we felt a couple raindrops I don't think we could have asked for any better.

The fishing was pretty good too.  The water is a little cold for the walleye to bite yet, so we only caught trout, but most of them were pretty good sized and they have the beautiful pink meat that is so yummy.

I think this was my first fish of the trip...  As you can see the little man is having such a good time!

A nice trout that Clint landed.

Home sweet home!!!  Yes, we all 3 slept in the little tent, even with my big ol' belly!  Surprisingly, we slept pretty good, especially the second night.  Dane was so cute sleeping between us.  He was great!  It was really funny though, on Saturday morning Clint and I were laying there visiting.  We were quietly discussing our day ahead.  Dane was sleeping between us.  All of the sudden he sits bolt upright in bed and says "airplane, airplane".  Sure enough there was a plane flying over that we could hear.  Then he lays right back down, shuts his eyes and he's sound asleep again.

My two favorite guys with another nice trout.

Dane at the campground.

Dane was so tired this morning, he didn't really want to get up early and go fishing. ( I could have used a little more sleep too.)  But, we all got up and went.  Little man did end up crashing on me for a while though!

We had such a great time!!!  Tonight, Clint had to go back to work, and I'm back at it tomorrow...  But, I'm sure it will be another fast week, and I think next weekend we are helping Mom and Perry with their fence!

Happy Mother's Day!

We want to wish all the wonderful women in our lives a Happy Mother's Day!  To our Mom's... thanks for being so amazing!

I had a really nice day!
Clint surprised me with some beautiful flowers and my favorite treat for breakfast when he got home from work.  Then Dane and I worked around the house and then had a really nice visit with my Mom.
Finished out the day with some burgers on the grill and some time with my two favorite guys!

Here are a couple recent belly pics...  We are just about to 34 weeks so I have a little ways left, but can see the light at the end of the tunnel!  However, I can not see my toes anymore!!! :)

Dane is all about trains right now...  so he loves hooking things together and making his own trains.
Here he is with our latest "train".
choo choo!

Although it rained off an on throughout the weekend, we still had a good one.  Dane played outside a lot while I got some projects done.  Next weekend we are headed to the CMR (Lower Missouri) to do some camping and fishing.  We are so excited because Clint and I are going to start getting days off together and we intend to take advantage of it!!!
Hope everyone has a great week!

A little of this and that!

This weekend is a little unexciting in our world.  Clint is working, so Dane and I are getting some more projects done.  Woo hoo!  Clint says I'm nesting...  I say I'm just trying to get a handle on things before my life gets even more exciting and crazy.  I'm also trying to work on some of these things before my belly gets too big and I'm draggin' just doing the norm.

Anyway, I do have a few pictures to post.  When we were out on the boat a couple weekend ago I had to tinkle...  (shocking, I know.  I have total pregnancy bladder!)  Clint pulled the boat up to an island and when I hopped off a goose started honking and jumped up and flew away.  Well, she had been sitting on this nest.  Of course we didn't touch them or anything, but it was kind of neat to see.

My brother is in Utah right now with my Dad and Marsha.  Here is a picture of Dad and Erik at Zion National Park.

Last, but certainly not least...  Here is my brother (in the red shirt) just starting the marathon portion of the Ironman Triathalon.  I am so proud of him, and awed by him.  First, he swam 2.4 miles, then biked 112 miles and then he ran a full 26.2 marathon.  I can't even imagine the drive and motivation that took!
I was trying hard to draw off of his motivation today for my 2.5 mile jog...  lol!
Marsha said that Erik smiled the whole way, and that is totally my brother...  Easygoing, happy, positive...
