Camping at Sawmill Flats

We had a great time camping and were able to get two good loads of wood. We cut the first one and then Clint and I took it back to the cabin and dropped it off. Then we got up this morning and filled the trailer again for our friend, so we definitely got some good work done!

Dane was really great. The last time we went camping (with Pat and Linda) he had a really nasty cold so everything was a little harder and he was a little fussier than usual. This time he was feeling good and was just a champ. Tent camping with him is a little more challenging. At the cabin, there are places to put him down where he can play and we don't have to worry so much about bugs and the sun. It's also warm enough at the cabin that I can make him his own bed to sleep in. In the tent, he and I share a mummy bag. Kind of a tight fit but we make it work!
Here we are with Dane in the "hippy pack". We love it, he will just sit there so happy and content watching the world go by! (thanks again Courtney!)

The scenery up there is truly amazing. Here is another picture of our little tent. It was pretty cool to lay there and listen to the little creek!

This morning was pretty darn chilly. (just below freezing... brrrr) Here is Clint, Dane, and Kadar (dog) hanging out around the campfire. Kadar definitely would have been willing to climb into Clint's lap with Dane!!

This morning, Dane decided he needed to sleep for a little while longer! Here he is all tucked in to the cozy little nest! Looks pretty comfy!

This picture is a little fuzzy, but here is my awesome hubby helping out with the dishes!
