Getting Sworn In

Clint is now a Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks Game Warden. Here are the pictures from the ceremony!
The dinner was good, but we got rained out so we had to have it inside! It was really nice to meet everyone, and the group that Clint got hired on with seems like a really good bunch of guys/gals.

Here they are taking the oath.

A new chapter!

Today is Clint's last day at the GFPD!!! I thought I'd post a picture of him in his uniform, cause I think he is a total stud!!!
As a game warden he is going to get to wear jeans to work every day! Must be rough!
It's been crazy around here, trying to wrap our minds around all the changes that are coming!!!

Clint and I head to Helena on Sunday for a Game Warden bar-b-que/meet & greet. Then he gets sworn in on Monday. (I'll post pictures when I get home)

Despite trying to go through boxes, we did make it out playing a little yesterday. Sadly, our days spent archery hunting aren't providing us with any pictures to post!!! But, bird hunting is always a lot of fun and we usually can get a few!

Yesterday, we covered some ground trying to find some upland birds for Rebel, but all we got was a tired dog!
So, as usual we went to the old standby... and shot a few more snipe!!!

Clint's going to be a Game Warden!!!

The newest news on the block is that Clint got the job!!! He is going to be a game warden. He starts "warden school" on September 24, and that is when he will be sworn in.

Wow, so many changes how is a person supposed to keep track.
I don't have any fun pictures to include, but I just thought I'd make sure everyone knew of the exciting news! We'll keep you updated on any developments!

The rumor's are true!!!

Yep, we did it! The rumor's are true! There's a bun in the oven!!!

For those of you who know the story, you will appreciate the fact that we have lovingly nicknamed it the "forklift". If you don't know the story, just ask Clint, he'd be happy to fill you in! But, Tanya's version is better!

Okay, joking aside... We couldn't be more thrilled. The baby is due March 25, so that makes us just under 3 months right now. The ultrasound pictures are kind of fun, but really it just looks like a blob!

Sniping with Brock!

Today I got to take Brock on his first bird hunt. We went snipe hunting at a local hot spot, with Bones. (Tanya was working, somebody's gotta pay the bills) Both Bones and Brock are catching on very quick to the finer points of bird hunting. We found one sharptail (the larger bird) and 6 snipe. Bones is really showing his natural talent for only his second trip out! It was a great day and we can't wait for the next adventure!

Hunting Snipe with Bones!

It was an awesome opening day! We decided to hunt snipe cause we knew that we would get a lot of shooting and that's what we wanted for Bones first trip out! Unfortunately, Bones also just got the big snip, (he is now an it) so, we didn't want to overdo it. Rebel doesn't really care for snipe, so he stayed home. (we did make sure that there was nothing available for him to chew up while we were gone, cause he can be kind of vindictive!)
The shooting was great and in just a couple hours we were able to harvest 14 snipe! Bones did well and really got into it!
Here we are with one of "his" birds!
Most of the retrieves were in the tall marsh grass. This one was pretty easy for him since it landed in the dry grass.
All three of us and our birds!
Bones was badly in need of a bath!!!

I had to throw this picture in cause it makes me laugh. We have a kitty bed (don't ask why!!!) and Rebel insists that he fits! He tries to lay in it constantly and you can see how well it works out for him!

How does your garden grow?

Well, this is the best time of year, for recreation, weather, and fresh produce. I wanted to share a few pictures of what we are harvesting from our garden right now! Obviously we let a couple of he zucchini's get a little out of control, they are humongous!

I'm so excited for the first cantaloupe to get ripe! It's so close, hopefully just a few more days!

Eggplant!

A medley of green beans, a cucumber, a zuchinni, and some peppers.

Bones, he is such a Ham for the camera!

Shingles are on... well most of them!

As you can see, the cabin now has shingles! We did run a little short.... We didn't major in math! So, now we have the rest, we just need to get up there and finish the job.

Notice the background, usually you can see the beautiful Rocky Mountain Front but with all the smoke from the fires, you can't see anything! It would be great if we could get some rain, but all we can do is hope!

Hiking in Hawaii

Erik, Evan, Owen and I all went on a super fun hike! It was a good hike that had incredible views!

I was also super impressed by Evan and Owen! They are such tough little guys!

Hawaii!!!

My mom and I were fortunate enough to fly to Hawaii to visit my brother and his family. As you can see by the following pictures we had an amazing time and had a chance to enjoy most of the fun that Oahu has to offer. My only regret is that our hubby's were able to go (Clint and Perry) But, maybe next time.

I got to try surfing. I thought it was going to be easy, but it was hard to stay up. It was an incredibly good time though!

Here are my nephews, Evan (sitting) and Owen. These boys are amazing swimmers and we spent a lot of time in the water!

This is my brother with his beautiful daughter, Erica on his shoulders. Like all of their kids, she is a total trooper. But, once in a while she hitches a ride!

This is my sister-in-law (Lisa) and Erica.

Erik, Evan, Owen and I all got to go sailing! It was so great and I felt like I could stay out there forever!

For a few of the days we were spoiled and stayed in a hotel. This was sample of the night and daytime views from our room! Mom and I spent a few evenings sitting on the deck enjoying the view.

Here's a picture of my beautiful mom in front of some amazing Hawaii scenery.

Here I am with a little island in the background!

Hiking with Dad and Marsha

While in Oregon, I was lucky enough to spend a day hiking with my Dad and Step mom, Marsha. We decided to tackle Mount Joseph, aka Chief Joseph.

Here is my Dad

Here I am with Marsha.

Here is a picture of the mountain that we climbed. This is taken from the valley and the very highest point is the one that we climbed.

My dad is a very gifted mason and here is a beautiful example of his work. This is his home that he built and lives in now.

The awesome wedding!

My good friend Abby got married and I was lucky enough to be part of the fun!!! It was a great wedding and even though I don't yet have pictures of the ceremony, here are a few that I did have on my camera!
Here is a picture of Abby getting her hair done by Quinn! Of course Daisy is part of the fun! (she's the little one in Abby's lap)
Here I am with Abby. Notice that each of us has a little liquid encouragement. I needed it cause I was wearing false eyelashes and tons of makeup!!!
Here I am with Clint. He was such a champ the whole time and even took pictures throughout the ceremony for some friends!

Clint and Brock fishing!

Clint and his litte brother Brock have had some great times fishing! Here's some pictures of their catch!

We're Back

Well, our computer went down.. So, it took us some time to get a new one. But, now we are back on-line, so we have a lot of pictures to show everyone!

The sheeting is on!

We are one step closer to having a roof!!!
After we got the trusses up, we were able to get the sheeting on.

The finished product!!

(Well, this step is finished)

After the work is done, we get to swim!!!

Bones is loving the water!

Rebel usually gets to the stick first, but when Bones gets a hold of it too, it's a fight all the way back!

After a swim, you must have a good roll and get all the clean off!!!

Here is the view out of our front windows.
