Last weekend we had lots of plans... Friday night was the Circus. Okay, I haven't been to a Circus since I was a kid. It's probably been 20 years (gasp). I have to say it wasn't quite what I remembered. The animals didn't seem that happy, the girls were really scantily clad, and it was really loud. (Oh yeah, and I had a heck of a time resisting the sugary sweet delicious cotton candy. But, I did resist... if for no other reason than Dane doesn't need to eat pure sugar!)
Here are the tigers jumping over one another. The crazy thing was that they were hissing and seemed cranky. They really didn't seem happy about the whole performance. I was a little worried we were going to witness a "SeaWorld" incident, but the handler made it through unscathed.
I think this is about the time I though Dane was ready to go. We actually ended up leaving at intermission cause it had already gone on for 1.5 hrs and Dane was getting tired. These were the "Powerpuff Girls", or some classy name like that! Clint said that they were really talented performers and he felt that we really owed them the respect of staying for their riveting performance! :)
Saturday morning we got up and headed to the cabin. The wind was blowing really hard but on Sunday it was calling for calmer weather. We did get out for a little hike around the lake on Saturday, but it was really cold and windy so we went for a drive up to the Front to look at critters.
Here are Dane and Bones at Willow Creek Res.
Gibson Reservoir looked really cool with the ice all broken up and pushed against the dam. However, it was really low, as was the River. We are actually only at about 55 % snow pack, so Montana may be in trouble this summer.
Here are some Sheep that Clint was able to sneak up on and get a couple pictures.
Dane being a boy and pounding on the rocks with a stick!
Brrrr... it's cold, time to come back inside!
Clint is so awesome and wanted Dane to have an Easter egg hunt... Well, I wasn't sure when I would have time to get the eggs dyed... so Clint did it on Friday while Dane was napping. (Dane got to be home with Dad that day!) So, then Clint went out and hid them on Sunday so Dane could have an Easter egg hunt. He had a really good time!
This weekend is quickly approaching, I can't believe it's already Thursday. Clint is back on overnights and gets off Saturday morning at 6. So, we will probably take it easy that day and then go fishing on Sunday or something fun like that!
