Bones vs. The Hose!!!

Life's little mysteries...

Where is that water coming from?

(And when they leave I will chew the hose into tiny pieces and figure it out!!!!)

Here's a Robin that is nesting by the house

More fishing!

We got lucky again today...
Not only was the fishing good, the weather was nice as well... A little chilly but there was hardly any wind and the sun was out! Awesome!

The first fish we caught actually came as a double! That doesn't happen everyday!

This was the biggest that we caught, but they were all between 14-18 inches and we landed 5...

Then we went out to the property to dig a test hole...

Clint's Birthday!

Well, despite the incliment weather, we decided to get up early and go fishing today. We thought it would be a great way to spend Clint's Birthday!!
We even got lucky and caught 4 nice trout!

It was pretty cold and rainy so we didn't make a long day out of it, but we had a good time!

Though he tries to make himself as small as possible, Bones is quickly becoming to big for my lap... We were all about conserving heat here, but I'm not sure what he is going to do in a couple more weeks!!!

Rebel likes Bones... Well most of the time!

Rebel is getting really great when it comes to Bones. At first it was a little "touch and go", but as you can see, now they even play together!!!

Bones is incredibly tenacious and doesn't seem to know when to quit. Sometimes we do intervene, cause we know that Rebel's patience may run out at some point!!!

Easter!!! (Hint: Click on Pictures to Make Them Bigger)

Despite Clint not feeling well, we were able to get out and enjoy the sunshine and wildlife today. The gophers were not cooperating and did not provide us with targets, but we still enjoyed ourselves immensely. We came over a rise, and these antelope were feeding...

It didn't take them long to leave the area!!!

Here are some of the snow geese on their way back North. Sometimes there are hundreds of thousands on Freezeout lake, so this is just a tiny part.

These are ducks on Freezeout lake. There are pintail's, shoveler's, coot's, etc... The spring migration is in full swing.

Here is a hen pheasant that hid from us in the grass. Her camo is so great that it's tough to pick her out. (that's why we provided you with the arrow!)

Dogs are so much fun!!!

The weather was decent over the weekend, and as you can see the squirrels were out bothering Rebel!!! (Look in the upper right hand corner)

The rawhide chews continue to cause conflict between the dogs, so we try to keep them out of reach. Rebel and Bones keep a close eye on them!

It snowed today and Bones LOVES the snow. He is super spunky and we got a good laugh!!!

Shed Hunting

Today we went up to the Rocky Mountain Front and looked for shed antlers. It was a beautiful day, and we were lucky enough to find several nice sheds. I must admit though, Clint is clearly a superior "horn hunter"!!!

Bones and Rebel came along and had a great time as well. Bones was able to keep up for about 2.5 miles and then he was so tired, and decided to hitch a ride...

The Trip Home

Traveling 12 hours with a puppy is exhausting for everyone involved!!!

Family Time

After picking up the puppy, we got to visit some family.

Mom and Bones

Perry and Bones

Clint and Bones

We also went to the Washington Beach and had a great time there!

Picking up the Puppy!

So, the next morning we got up early and headed out to Karemy Labs in Graham, Washington to pick out our pup. We chose the little male and named him Bones. (He is the one with the black rick-rack)
Here's Bones and his Sister

Bones and his brother!

This is Obie, Bone's Dad

Seattle

On our way to Graham to pick up the puppy we stopped and spent the night with our good friends Karl and Nancy. They took us to see the Seattle Skyline at night, and as you can see it was beautiful. The sunrise was also gorgeous. But the city of Seattle was a little too busy for us!!!

More Puppy Pictures...

On Wednesday we leave for Washington. We are going to visit family and friends and we also are picking up our new puppy.
We can't decide between 2 of them, so I posted pictures of both!!!
(These pictures are from the breeder's website, that's why they are so small!!!)
Aren't they the cutest?

Working on the garden

Today we decided to work on the garden.
We wanted to prepare it for the new puppy and fence it in.
I can't wait to post pictures of a big lush garden with lots of veggies and herbs. This way we can have a before and after picture.
This is most definately our before.

Rebel did a great job watching the world go by as we worked!

While I was away!

While I was in Helena last week for work, Clint went ice fishing and caught a nice Northern...
It's too bad that I missed out...

Puppy!!!

Here are a couple pictures of the puppy that will be joining our household shortly...

Wish us luck!!!

This is our friend Karl and his dog Grits. Grits came from the same pair as our puppy. Since the breeder is in Washington, Karl has been visiting and looking at the puppies for us. It looks like the puppy pictured above is the birdiest... If our pup can be anywhere as great as Grits, we will have one heck of a dog!!!
