Front yard demo.

The progress in the front yard is continuing.  Mother's Day weekend Bob (Carrie's hubby) came over and helped us do some major demo.  We rented a skidsteer and then he helped run it.

Here is a reminder of how the yard looked before we began...  Notice the lack of big spruce trees?!?!?!

Bob did a great job and was quite skilled!
Brock and Dane had to climb in as well!
Doing a little "headscratching" as my dad would say!  We wanted to get rid of the front porch...  so the guys were talking about the best way to move it.

We really appreciated the help from the Sammons/Doty family that day!  I'd like to say I was helpful, but I actually wasn't much help.  Kimber was pretty sick (although she doesn't look like it in this next picture).  We had to go to the Immediate Care Clinic both Saturday and Sunday.  They did some blood tests, and ended up giving her some oral steroids to bring down the swelling in her throat and help her breathe.  Ends up that she essentially has Mono.  I have learned all a person can learn about Mono/Epstein Barr Virus!  She seems to be feeling much better now, although she isn't quite 100% yet.

Poor girl was feeling pretty crummy!

They picked us!

Dad, Erik and I try to do a run each year... and after we did our 25 k trail run last year we started talking about the Bridger Ridge Trail run.  It's about 20 miles with over 16,000 feet of elevation gain/loss.
About 400+ people put in for it; but since it's a trail run not everyone gets selected.  But, you do get to write a couple sentences about why you want in.
Well, I just got notification this morning that we are in!!! :)  Click here to read a little more about this race...

I think that Dad, Erik, and I are stoked.  Clint however thinks we are all a little crazy and just asked that I keep my eyes open for any goats!  He doesn't understand why anyone would go that far without a critter to shoot, or at least a fish to catch!

Icebreaker 2013

Last Sunday was one of our annual traditions...  the Icebreaker Road Race.  First, Jill and I ran the 5 mile run.  I was the crazy girl with a camera who took pictures throughout.  It was fun!

Then Brock and Clint ran the 3 mile race.  They did really well and had a great time!  Here they are coming down the home stretch to the finish line!

Grandma brought the kids down and waited at the finish line, which was really cool!  After we finished the 5 and the 3, then we all ran the 1 miler with Dane!  He did much better pacing himself this year and did a great job!  We were really proud of him!

Then when he saw the finish line, little man put his head down and was off!
Here's the whole icebreaker crew...  except for one important member of our cheering section (grandma) was behind the camera!
